Today we had Maths, Leadership (yr6), Spelling Web (yr5), French, Class Meeting, Inquiry, Secondary Drama performance and Sports Practice.
Homework is a minimum of 50 minutes per day. I have asked the boys to make sure they put at least this minimum amount of time aside each day, in order to get into a regular routine. I have also asked them to record in their diaries how they have spent this time. For example, your son may decide to do 10 mins reading, 25 mins Chinese, 15 mins French. Another boy may use his homework time differently but both boys need to record in their diaries, the time they have spent on each activity.
Homework tonight may consist of French - short sentences about family members (due tomorrow), Chinese - 4 day diary of trip to China (due Monday), Reading, IXL, practising speech, Inquiry or Independent study. The boys will need to prioritise their work and make decisions about how they should spend their homework time each day. Ideally the responsibility for this lies with the boys but in the early stages some boys may need your support with this decision making process.
Year 6 boys received notices about Co-curricular Captains today.
