Week 9 Term 1
The boys had another busy week. Most took the opportunity to practise their communication strategies, guiding their grandparents around the class and school. I was impressed by their knowledge, hospitality and guidance. They also completed their Junior Orator, with the Year 6s competing in the finals after Chapel today. Congratulations to James Walter and Mason Ross for coming first and second respectively. All the boys in our class presented to a high standard in both their manner and content. I was intrigued by the topic, "if I could design a school...." and gained valuable and potentially usable ideas. Saying this, I will not implement paintball equipped golf buggies for interschool transport, however I did consider the idea of an exercise bike or treadmill, which seemed popular. So if you do have an old one in the shed that you would consider loaning to our class, please let me know. Next week we are beginning our written debate which should be fun and the boys should be collecting data for their next Unit of Inquiry. Have a great weekend!
