The King's Speech profile is currently scheduled to air on the 7.30 Report tonight. Some filming occurred in our classroom a couple of weeks ago in preparation for this so we may or may not make this segment.
His Excellency, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, Governor of South Australia will visit Prince Alfred College on Thursday 25th August 2011 to lay the foundation stone for the new Health and Sports Centre. An assembly for all students will be held at 10.30am, at which the Governor will speak and then lay the foundation stone. Similar to the arrangements on the day of the ‘Old Old Boys Assembly’ several weeks ago, this will mean we will have an earlier recess time on this day, and that ALL BOYS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR FULL WINTER UNIFORM TO SCHOOL ON THIS DAY. As this is also of course PE and sports practice day, please ensure all sports clothing and sports requirements are sent with boys.
It is also Book Week this week and the boys will be attending a performance tomorrow which is based on four of the shortlisted books. Friday is the Bookweek parade. Our Chapel has been changed to Friday Sept 9th Week 7. This will give us more time to organise something. Homework contracts were sent home today.
